Cptbil:
I hear that there is a section of beach...about 10 miles long...  Tongue  where you can find either, 1553 or 1554 Spanish Silver Coins!
AND!
That they sell for $1000-$2000 each!   Shocked  depending on condition?
Have you been there ?

As a matter of fact,? ?Sad they are darn, down right Nasty! about it!
If you get my "drift" ?
OH!
I forgot to mention,
About coming down during the summer!
The coins only come ashore during/after a big Storm!

Hey new to the site love it. Was looking for a new hobby and this looks like the one. I live in Ingleside Tx. next to C.C. and would like to know when you are coming down maybe join in. Are the coins you are talking about maybe from the 4 or 5 Spanish ships that went down in the 1500's.

What day? Like I said new just getting started don't have a detector yet. Also see you are a diver I want to get my cert. Was going to until my boat sank. Trying to get all title stuff settled and ins. paying it off and giving it back. It is a 29ft welcraft. Might sell it cheep just to pay for 5 months of storage at dry dock. Let me know if you know anyone needing one.

I DO KNOW! A person who is looking for a boat!
Drop me a "PM" ("Private mesage") ! for more info!
I am waitting for the weather to settle, before venturing down the coast!
BUT!
The best time to go, will be on a week day!
Probably won't be for a couple of weeks !
I am moving some of my camping equipment/tools, etc,  down to the other house
And, I'm doing some other exciting/interesting  Undecided  chores!

Cptbil, Bugs, & Duke,

I live in Portland, TX.  15 miles from St. Joe.  I already have the CZ-20, boat, and wet suit.  I'll be obtaining my SUBA cert in Feb.  I would love to join in the hunt.
