Hit the afternoon low tide, surf was rough and it was windy.  Got a nice signal from the HH PI at the low tide mark.  Out popped a honker .925 with a pink stone, it is surrounded by small stones, I'm thinking fake.  Some other Metal Detector had just hit that area (North End) of Virginia Beach, and left holes about every 10 feet.  We're gonna get a bad rap if a jogger breaks their leg!  At least make an effort to try and fill your holes.
