Hello, I just found the largest bottle dump i have ever seen. It is a hill just covered in bottles. I had to step on the broken bottles to get to the unbroken ones. Before i can even dig i need to do a years worth of bottle moving. I will keep the choice ones and sell the rest on ebay in lots. Would this be a viable solution? or should i wait twenty years ( then I'll be 34) and then sell them? They are mostly from the 60's and 70's on top. Also there is tons of farm equipment, shoes, toys, and tons of junk that i need to get through to get at the older stuff. the farm must date pretty far back based on the upside-down old time cart( I'm going to take the seat of and keep it as a souvenir).

Also there is an almost complete TV tube...back is just broken. could this be valuable? I'll get pics soon.
Does anyone know of a non harmful way to clean bottles?

Oh yay.. it is so deep there has to be older ones

When you get the pictures, post them over in the Bottles and Glass forum. You can also find bottle cleaning tips in that forum.

After i found my huge bottle dump and pulled about 100 bottles out i thought it would be nice to maybe know a bit about em so did alot of research.  You asked about cleaning em.  I used a bottle brush on mine.  Nice thing about the bottle brush is you can bend it how ever works lol.  Also read how on the stubern dirt you can use dry rice.  Pour some in the bottle hold your hand over the top and shake shake shake lol,  heard you can do the same with dry sand.  I wouldn't clean any that you might think are worth alot.  there folks out there that clean em pro like.  Or i think if you want do a google on bottle cleaning theres plans out there to build your own.  hope this helps a bit.  And congrats on finding the dump.  When i started to dig in mine i made a small 2 foot by 2 foot sift out of pvc,and screen.  throw the dirt and give it a shake.  you will be suprised on what you can find doing that.
