Hello ,Congratulations on some nice finds.

Is the exposed area muddy or dry now? It sounds like easy pickings with the water gone, I wish some one would drain the ocean here in Miami so I could get to the treasures so easy. yesterday the winds were high and the waves were too violent to stay in the water.

I use a jewlry cleaning liquid you could proabally buy at walmart. or in any jewlry store. also there are polishing cloths with the cleaner in the cloth, these are great for the finishing touches.

a tooth brush and some windex with amonia would be a great start. amonia is one of the main ingredients in the jewlry cleaner anyway.

for clad coins I use vinegar and salt, and since I ran out of vinegar I tried an experiment with soy sauce and I even tryed worcestershire sauce. it turns a black coin into a dull grey coin in about 1 hour. but be sure to keep pennies and clad coins seperate or all will turn copper color.

please tell us what kinds of jewlry, and what kind of machine you are using, and how deep the finds were.

Happy hunting, Bert
