I've used SCUBA gear for quite a few years to allow me to stay on the bottom while using my underwater detectors. Because of the weight of the tanks and the gear, and my advancing years, I have begun to look at the 'hookah' diving gear that is on the net. Most of the stuff, for two divers, will cost about $2K and there are zero dealers near my area. Before I lay out the money, I sure would like to hear from someone who owns one of these 'hookah' systems to hear what things they like and dislike. All the web diving sites seem to only talk about SCUBA. Unlike this net, where you can really decide what detector is right for you by reading about other's experiences, there seems to be nothing about SSA or 'hookah.' I've discovered four manufacturer's of the SSA and would be happy to hear any comments about any one of them. Thanks! May that next sound be the diamond Rolex Bill Gates lost.
