You are right on the money. I can't agree with you more. In fact, I would say to always, always expect the unexpected while underwater. I learned this the hard way while scuba diving in 55' of water. I had been diving for over 20 years and never knew that a burst disk could burst while underwater. Indeed, I had very little knowledge of what a burst disk was. Now I always take along a ponny bottle when I go past 30'. So I would say to all, take no chances, particularly with items that could compromise the quality of the air.
