Your mark is probably .925 which stands for "sterling" silver. 10K gold will sometimes be marked .417. 14K gold is .585 and 18kt gold is .750. Those are the most common marks. Hopefully someday you will find the mark 999.9. That is 24k, and it has happened to me three times so good luck! !
