Both machines are top of the line machines .The CZ-20 is a better built machine and does go alittle deeper especially on silver.The minlab Excalibur is hotter on gold though,especially on the small gold rings.If its jewelry you prefer ,I would recommend the minelab excalibur but if your more into coins and relics I would say the CZ-20. I have found well over 300 gold rings ,not including chains ,charms and earings,and a ton of siver jewelry.{Beach and water hunting}I belong to the Long Island Treasure Hunters Club in Long Island New York and there always seems to be alot more gold finds with people who use the minelab,Im not knocking the CZ-20 at all cause its a great machine also but this is my past experience with both machines
