I have an XLT and I had an Eagle II. I bought a QXT because I kept reading how great it was.

Well I kept the XLT and sold the QXT and bought an IDX. The IDX works just as good or better than the XLT in 95% of my hunting at parks, houses, schools and beaches. It responds better and faster. It ID's deeper and detects just as deep in most ground.

The QXT wasn't bad it really worked okay. It was a little easier to set up than the XLT and detected pretty deep. The main reason I got rid of it was it didn't knock out the bottle caps as well as the XLT, Eagle and 6000 and it didn't work any better (for me)than the XLT.

So I would either go with the IDX or get the new 6000 DiPro XL.

Happy Hunting, Alan
