To each his own and respect all opinions...many of the top people tested it from the whites forum and were not pleased. On the other hand , haven't heard one bad word about the IDX...Decent depth to me is6 - 8 inches on an old silver dime. Of course many areas of the country with bad mineralization do not get this type of depth.. Whatever works and enjoy and use whatever produces for you...Have corresponded with some of these people..and worst unit I ever used, take two aspirin and put it on the classifieds were typical responses. On the other hand Greg from Transbay swears by them. Again what works for one surely does not work for another.... happy hunting with the unit of your choice.....
