Unfortunately metal detectors do break. Must read their warranty after first year must pay the labor. Understand they now have a two year warranty. CZ5 needle started sticking, CZ6A light rain leaked apparently gasket was crimped..both times paid postage and labor, quite expensive for units under warranty. Surprisingly with all the units I have owned have had very little problems....Have heard horror stories about all brands but to me Tesoro is best overall rel warranties....
