Scott, I just happen to look at the forum, I'm usually on the photo forum. JB is right, there's not just one detector out there that just picks up rings and jewelry. I,m sure you did'nt imply it that way. To find the cash you gotta dig the trash. You can increase your odds by getting a detector with notch discrimination. I've found that most gold comes under foil and nickle. When I go to a park or rec area I notch in only these two items and search them exclusively. Again you increase your odds by looking in areas where people are more likely to loose jewelry. I just recently purchased a Bandido u-MaxII just for jewelry. I've gotten to the point now where I dig just about everything. Lower your discrimination down to 4 and dig all solid signals. You may get discouraged by all the trash but, your Tesoro and a little PATIENCE will get what your looking for. 21 gold rings in the last six months (never hunted a beach) should tell you it works. Believe me I've dug pounds of trash. Anyway, good hunting and good luck! Richard WNC
