Need info before buying a detector

G'day!
I'm a very new metal detector enthusiast who's keen to prospect for gold in the Golden Triangle (Victoria, Australia - reasonably dry, mineralised ground). I want to buy a very inexpensive detector just to see how I enjoy this new adventure and have found some listed, within my price range, in our Trading Post. Trouble is - I really only have a clue about one of them - a Goldmaster V/Sat. The other two detectors which I don't have any idea about are a Garrett AB2 and a Compass Magnum 320. Could someone please let me know what they know about these two detectors and how they compare to the Goldmaster V/Sat?
