I WOULD DEFINATELY GIVE IT A TRY!!! I LIVE IN EASTERN NORTHCAROLINA AND HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR PLACES THAT I CAN CHECK AT THE MANY RIVERS AROUND HERE.. NO LUCK BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS PRIVATE AND THE RIVERS DON'T DROP MUCH.. YOU NEVER KNOW WHERE YOU MIGHT FIND SOMETHING GOOD.. I FOUND A 1921 SILVER DOLLAR WHERE AN OLD HOG PIN WAS.. YOU NEVER KNOW TILL YOU TRY..... GOOD LUCK..
