Hi, I live in the UK and would like to buy my first detector from the bounty hunter range.(I think they look good). What i would like to know is do they work well and would they be ok for a beginner? From my own reasearch it appears that they are a lot more popular in the U.S than they are over here. Most people over here are advising against buying one.

Opinions please.

If anyone is interested i would be pleased to keep in touch about my finds and detecting in general over here.
