Jeff, Take a drive down that bridge and throw a few things off at several different points. That will establish a line to detect along. Either side of that line +/- 5 feet you might find that diamond ring you have been looking for. A skin-diving friend of mine does that regularly and picks up all sorts of rings,laterns, rods, tackleboxes and etc. Good Hunting.
