First find
September 03, 2000 at 03:25:44

I decided to take my new fast tracker to work along with an assortment of coins and junk metal. The purpose of this was so that during my lunch hour i could spend some time listening to the signals this stuff gave. After around 40 minutes i decided that i was an expert on fast tracker signals, and it was now time for a coffee. I had been carrying out theese air test on a small peice of grass on the front of the museum where i work, i stood up and as i did the search head touched the ground giving a very loud signal. I quickly checked and re checked, getting the same signal again and again. As i was an expert on signals i decided this was a beer can but i would check anyway. I cut a 5 inch square flap in the turf and gently folded it back. A quick sweep revealed the object still in the ground, using my pen knife as a digger i gently scraped away the soil and low and behold two inches down a dirty but unmistakeable one pound coin. My first find and i wasnt even trying. It also showed i was no expert on signals.

Happy Hunting: SEAN

By the way the pound paid for my coffee!
