Daniel, I would give the XLT a little time before dumping it.I've been using one since they came out & I still have the original Spectrum as well. My partner had one & traded it for a Minelab & also bought a CZ. They both went down so I let him use my Spectrum for the summer while his were out for warranty repairs. Was he impressed!! He just didn't give his XLT a chance before getting rid of it. I still believe the other machines are fine products but I can only tell you what my friend went through. I never used anything but Whites so I have no personal point of comparison. When we team up our finds are about equal but he always calls me over to ID targets in the ground. Is it just my familiarity with my equipment? I don't know. Whatever you decide good luck& good hunting! Sarge,WI
