Mark,
In my opinion I have used both the Minelab Digital and the Sunray DTI and I like the Sunray a lot more as the numbers are more stable and lock on better on the Sunray. The knob on the back side of the meter for calibrating the meter seems to get bumped more and knocked out of calibration on the minelab Digital and when hipmounting the cable is too short on the Minelab Digital one. If I remember right on the minelab digital the angle of veiwing was off a little and you had to hold the meter just so to read it.
I know on my Sovewreign with the Sunray DTI meter on it when calibrated for 180 on a dime will read 179-180 for a good coin, 176-177 for a IH penny or older wheatie plus the new zink penny, a 177-178 mean I got a alum bottle cap, a 143-144 a nickle and a 140-141 a beaver tail off of a pulltab. when I had my Minelab digital meter The numbers were not that percise, but did work good but couldnt tell the difference in the 176-180 reading as they read anywhere from 530-555 and sounded about the same tone wise (I am hard of hearing).
Mark we should get together and I can show you the difference.
By the way I forgot in the E Mail I sent you we have a club started that meets in Moorhead, Minn third thursday of the month, but this month we are meeting in Vally City ND as we have a park to hunt.
Rick
