Randy,

I use the Minelab Sovereign and the Explorer and with the Sovereign I use the Sunray DTI meter and the Sunray pinpointing Probe and find it is excellent. It is heavy so I recomend hipmounting. I also see some have a hard time getting used to it while others have no problem, this depends on how you understand those tones, but once you do they will tell you more about the target than any other machines. It took me around 20-30 hours to get used to it while I guy I got into detecting the year before with a Garrett GTA 1000 only took him 2 hours and he was digging some nice coins with his Sovereign. We are hunting the same areas we have hunted for the last 26 years and finding more old coins than we have for years and I know that all of us up here in ND that have them wouldnt trade them for anything. If you are looking for a QLT I know one guy that got a Sovereign and wants to sell his QLT as he will never use it again after he seen what the Sovereign will do.

Good luck with your choice.

Rick
