mmmmmmmmm well you might be better if you could find someone to help you .things settle in snow like they do in water kind of ,sometimes a bit crooked if you know what i mean.if you do to much moving around on the snow you will have trouble finding it in the warm months to come.if you are really sure of the area that you dropped it and no one else is using it,then mark it off and work it a bit at a time.but it is kinda like lookin for a needle in a haystack.getting a better detector would help but if not possible then you mite wait till warm weather.some one else sent a post for you to use the other one and listen to it on your machine and remember the sound as best you can,hey if you do good who knows what you might find,maybe more than you lost.good luck and happy hunting and if you let people in the forum know where you lost it you could maybe find someone to help you find it .
