One of my friends boyfriend was using it. Everytime I saw him, I'd think what a Nerd. In 1995 my friend brought a detector and everytime we drove near a beach, she would want to stop and hunt. I would either just walk around the shoreline eyeballing for shells or stones or just wait in the van. So I decided that if I were going to go places with her, I might as well buy a detector and give it a try. Well,I did and now I am so addicted to the hobby. When I see the guy, I called the Nerd and we talk about dectecting I get almost sick when he tells of all the old coins and jewelry he found in the 70's when he was the only one working the beach here. Anyway, I'm glad I started the hobby. Besides the dreams of the big find, it's my incenitive to exercise and my escape to solitude. HH - Jody
