What are the best settings for the outdoor spirit?

1> sensitivity 2> ground cacellation 3> meatal discrimination

?

also how deep will it detect? It also says that you can tell the difference from copper or gold by the tone well I tested it with both and the tone sound the same am I doing something wrong?
