I'm new to metal detecting and I have a middle-of-the-line detector from Radio Shack. I hunted a park in California, when I lived there, and found nothing but a crack pipe, some new pennies & nickels and A LOT of bottle caps. I recently moved to a small town in eastern Ohio and I'm inspired to look for some meaningful treasures. I don't want to buy a new detector just yet because I don't know what I'm doing and I don't know where to search in my new town. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
