Well Jim, I tried to support my local dealer.. I drove an hour and half because this was the dealer who really knew his stuff and had all of the White's machines on display, and knew them inside out... Reality: I get there, and am directed to the back room, where I find that there is yet another back room behind the first one.. Finally I see rows of gleaming detectors!! I ask to see a DFX, and the guy quickly grabs one and hands it to me.. Ooops, no batteries in this one.. Turns out that none of them had batteries in them..The guy was less than willing to put batteries in it, finally I was able to get him to find the manual on it, but he knew nothing about it, and said that the owner knew little more.. All of a sudden those guys at Kellyco and other big dealers don't look so bad after all.. Oh yeah, icing on the cake: those bozos expected to get full list price for their DFX.. Sorry for the long post.
