I think Chet covered this one nicely, with any unit increase the sensitivity and unusual for one to be used at top sensitivy and the machine becomes unstable. Fortunately even at low sensitivity CZ units are capable of superior depth. Just may be pimpointing off center which would cause the depth to read in error. Do practice the ground balancing also as that can cause a lot of problems if it is not done correctly.
