November 06, 2001 at 07:13:35 In Reply to: Bounty Hunter Pioneer 101 posted by Ryan on November 05, 2001 at 15:09:15 compare features,cost,waranty and quality to other detectors in the price range first. can't say i've ever used a bounty hunter but i'm sure they work just fine. i've always been a white's fan. in my opinion they have always had the most for your buck. another consideration should be what's this detector going to be worth when i decide to move up to a better unit? check ebay to get a feel for what used detectors are going for.some have higher resale value than others.it can also give you an idea of how many satisfied customers are out there,for instance if you see a bunch of the same detectors for sale cheap that would tell me that a bunch of people weren't happy with their decisions.checking the forums is a great way to help with the decision process as well.when you've narrowed it down to which detector you like,check for best deal. i'm a believer in supporting your local dealer but if he's not willing to give you the best deal for your money then look elsewhere.someone else will. good luck,jim |
