Well I have an Advantage and also use Tesoro's although I have not used the newer Eldorado..but have used quite a few of the new umax.
The Tesoro umax machines are far lighter to swing..regardless of what the stated weight of the advantage is. They are easier on the arms.
As far as depth the Advantage has better depth if coil sizes are the same. Trash rejection is good on both...and both have a short learning curve to realy understand how they react to a target that is discriminated out. The Advantage may still give a response but it will be broken....good targets always sound clean and sweet.
The Tesoro has a far better choice of coils though...probably close to 9 coils....there are only the 8:" and 10" for the Minelab.
Target response in trash is pretty close for both...I can pick targets out pretty darn well with both types of machines.
Pinpointing is better on the Minelab Advatage in my opinion. Both will handle iron trash well...kind of a tie in that category.
