hi mike my names ponylee ive only been at this for a short time i havent used a minelab yet but ive been told by countless people to make sure that i try a minelab out before i buy one if you decide to go with a white spend the extra cash and get an xlt or dfx i have an xlt and im totally satisfied which is odd lol im very very picky i bought a gta 350 garrett about 2 months ago my first machine it works great does everything its suppose to but i wasnt satisfied so i checked around listened looked watched and then i went to the bank got some dough and bought an xlt now i live in southeast ky we have coal and other minerals out the wazooo the ground is so mineralized i was diggin myself to death with the garrett but when i bought the whites man what a difference this machine has been 98 percent right on 100% of my digs that is important after youve been on a sight or 2 for 5 or 6 hrs your tired your arms hurt ya knees hurt ya back well you get the picture i already have an xlt it is the stuff dreams are made of next year im gonna buy another machine and it will be the minelab explorer but only because i have the best there is already my xlt but im gonna try the explorer because of all the bells and whistles but i already know its heavier and a lot harder to use and learn or so ive been told by kellyco dixie and a few others including a few of my buddies i hope ive helped you if it were me in your shoes if money werent an issue which wasnt for me but that monthly payment for 12 more months yuk lol i would see if i could rent borrow or go with someone who has a minelab i wouldnt think twice about buying an xlt or dfx the mxt is great but the xlt is the stuff hope i helped see ya ponylee..........
