Markings on Silver
September 20, 2003 at 13:32:01

I have two pieces of silver or silver plate that have markings on the bottom. Would someone be able to tell me what the markings mean, and I am curious of a value if possible. One piece is a candy dish type with the following markings: line 1: gorham
line 2: E then a shield with an anchor in the center followed by a P
line 3: YC3044

The second piece appears to be a sugar container. The markings on it are: line 1: guadruple plate
line 2: a spiderweb with a star in the center which has a W in the center of it
line 3: 691

Thank you.
Charlene
