Hey Pinnochio! Tell us how you have the only SD2100 not affected by salt water, or a wet coil.

Pinnochio,
I also enjoy your musings, so don't stop posting on my account, just don't whizz on my leg and tell me it's starting to rain. Did Stu put you up to that tale, or was its origin in Tempe, AZ, just curious??
The concept of a public forum, is the free exchange of ideas, useful tips, and accurate information. Those of us who actually use the SD 2100's, understand its limitations, and are not impressed by false or misleading statements. It is a tool, not a phallic or status symbol. Now the SD 2100 is obsolete. Obsolete: outmoded in its design, style or construction. Like the SD 2000 before it.
There is no one perfect prospecting detector. Under certain conditions the SD 2100 shines, in many others, it comes up short. Minelab agreed, and has introduced a new SD 2200 to correct some of its problems. Three different SD's in the last few years. Shouldn't Minelab test their products more thoroughly before rushing to market? How do you think the guy feels that bought a new SD 2000 back in '96? Another joke on the cutting edge of a farce.
After reading your posts, you seem to have a "credibility gap." You might consider using your gifts to write field tests for the magazines, they don't seem too concerned with facts or accuracy.
Credibility gap (krèd´e-bîl´î-tê gàp) Noun
1. Public skepticism about the truth of statements, especially official claims and pronouncements.
2. Lack of trustworthiness.
3. A discrepancy or disparity, especially between words and actions.
Deeds, not words! American made detectors have, and will continue to find more gold worldwide, period. Fisher, White's, and Tesoro are the most popular gold detectors in Australia, and the world.
