The limited partnership offer
June 01, 1998 at 06:49:42
Thanks for all the kind words, those of you who wrote them, concerning the offer made below.
It's true that none of you have any way of knowing whether my offer is legitimate or sincere, nor do any of us have a way of measuring at this point the potential of the site. All I have is a burned cabin, old, buried longtom that someone went to a lot of trouble to construct, and a map and a lot of symbols on rocks. It is a crapshoot to try to second-guess what might follow. If there's a mine, it mightn't have amounted to much, or it might have been mined out.
However, I'm pleased to see some of you had the perception and experience in the mountains to recognize the absurdity of the suggestion that the offer was an attempt to get someone else to do the work. Most of you have probably done a bit of research yourselves, and evidently a good many realize how large a mountain actually is. It's unlikely anyone who doesn't live next door will ever spend more time climbing and unclimbing those canyons with water and equipment than I have, just to get where I am.
Anyone who believes otherwise probably hasn't got a lot of experience in this sort of thing and would probably be better served spending his time on established claims.
Much obliged to all of you for your comments, and especially for the support.
warm regards, Jack
