Otherwise, If I’m feeling the way I do today, I’m going to post the coordinates of the cabin, sluicebox, most of the rock symbols, maps, if possible, the areas I’ve worked during the past three years, and what I’ve found, where. All on the internet for anyone who wants to use it.

It’s all just to assure you don’t have the whole lonely mountain to yourselves and that there are people who might remember who did the work to get them into the neighborhood. I’d rather take that chance than to watch you work it alone, whether you find anything or not.

The prospectors in Catron County who grew up in those parts and have horn hunted half the canyons in the county are all rigged out with 4 wheelers and most have access to horses to aid them. For them, it’s half or 3/4 of an hour to a jumping off place, and they can do it during the long afternoons after work. For them, I doubt any competition you can offer on weekends will amount to much.

My current inclination is that I’ll post all this information sometime before the end of June if things stand as they are now. Enjoy the solitude while you have it, friends, or sign on.

best wishes, Jack
