3/4 oz. nugget at 20 inches? Yes, I beleive it could happen. I also use a 2100 in the Lovelock area that Viper is familiar with. Last year, I personally recovered a 1 dwt. flat nugget at a measured 10 inches. The next day, 100 ft. away my partner heard and recovered a 5 dwt. at a measured 12 inches. So, a 15 dwt. nugget at 20 inches does not sound like that much of a stretch. The soil there is not that mineralized and we both were using the 8" loop. And yes, the signal was not much more than a whisper, but we both heard it. And sandy, non mineralized soil could help with the depth. And yes, Richard is right about going over and over the same ground to get total coverage of that last little bit of signal way down there.
I have other stories of the depth capabilites of this machine that I have personally experienced. It has it's drawbacks like any machine, but when it comes to pure depth, there is no match on the market.
