Re: Any Scorpion Stinger Swingers out there?

June 04, 1998 at 09:22:25

I hope my son and I get a chance to go prospecting again this summer (I'm recovering from knee surgery--I'm going crazy waiting to get back in the hills!). If we get the chance, I hope to be swinging a new detector that will handle the area's hot soil conditions. But--if any experienced Garrett Scorpion users have some tips on using the Stinger for nugget hunting in extreme mineralization, my son and I would really appreciate it, as it will be his primary detector until he can afford a better one. (I'm hoping some of you have found a way to keep it more stable in hot ground.)

So, thanks for listening,

Lanny in AB
