Toyota Landcruiser for Prospecting?...

Just curious if anyone has used an older model(74-78) Landcruiser for prospecting. I currently own a Toyota 4x4 pickup. With 162 Thousand miles on mine, it is still running fine. Even know I have beat the living hell out of it, it still has all original parts. I have heard good things about the Landcruisers, even that they are being used in the outback of Austrailia. I have been interested in one for stickly a prospecting vehicle. Anybody have any information on one.
P.S. I am interested in a hardtop Landcruiser(FJ40), not the wagon model.
