Shoulda' Coulda' Woulda'! However I certainly respect the Custom's Agents ethics; you just don't find too many folks that have the dedication to maintain the level of character that this man did.
And you know what? If that agent had later gone out and found $200,000 in gold, it would pale in comparison to the value of a man with high moral standards.
However, I really appreciate this post, because it really does contain some very useful information!
Using those USGS maps and looking for areas not close to populated areas, high and not easy to access, etc. Very, very astute thinking!
Once again Lanny, thank you for a great story and some excellent hints!
