I've found the same thing out Allen. Kids love to pan for gold--I've taught quite a few school kids the trade myself, and it's always been fun watching those eyes pop when the color starts to surface. If more prospectors volunteered, you're right, we'd be building a base of friends for the future. Good for you that you make the time to take the time to work with interested children. It'll do far more good for them than TV and Nintendo. It might even interest some of them enough that they'll choose it as a keen interest and stay away from drugs or crime.
