Greg 'ol buddy, what makes you think that the stone cairn in the photo hails to the 1940's? I have found stone cairns like that, in the California and Arizona deserts, with tobacco cans hidden therein which have claim deeds to the 1890's. Your site might have been worked much earlier than you expect; so get detecting and tell us what you find! And, if you do find gold there, if you send me the GPS coordinates I'll send you an autographed copy of my latest book (grin!) Happy nugget shooting to all. Jim
