Mike, that is a lot of malarkey! Repeated scientific studies have confirmed that the population of the Great Western Jackalope is on the decline due to a limited gene pool (i.e. in-breeding), a circumstance which has been proven to severely weaken the the reproductive ability of the Jackalope, thus reducing litter sizes to less than population-sustaining numbers. It was hoped that massive importation of the much-less inbred Eurasian Jackalope, from Iraq, would improve the situation, by the process of "outbreeding," but the current "difficulties" have put that on hold.
