It was mighty nice and thoughtful of Doc to post the pictures of your gold. You and Chris must have incredible fun, even after all your hard work. My my, what a beautiful lot of gold there is in that pan! Looks very rough. Is it derived from long since decomposed and weathered veins? It doesn't look like it's seen any stream action. But, you fellows do have some ancient stream channels(some huge ones if memory serves me right)there don't you. I remember reading a post by an Australian once to that effect--he went down three feet after a two ounce nugget with a hammer and a chisel--hands were all chewed up by the time he retrieved it, but he sure was happy to have the gold.
