You Aussies post all you want. It's warming up enough that us northern Sourdoughs, and a whole new crop of Cheechakos(we're teaching a prospecting course at the college in mid April, as well as one at the high school again), will soon be finding "big mobs"of our own nuggets(I'm a hopeless optimist). In fact, I'm going panning this weekend to fine tune my techniques, because here in the deep south of the north, when we get a flake big enough to see, it's celebration time. I cut my panning teeth on flour gold--micro gold they call it here--gold so small it floats easily and, in fact, when you proudly point it out in your pan, most people swear they can't see a thing--claim all they can see is your finger pointing at the bottom of the pan!! Imagine that.

Later,

Lanny in AB
