With all due respect, I've been watching even the "good" senators and representatives lie through their teeth for the last 35 years or so. They get especially righteous and "on your side" when they know they are on the short end of the final outcome. It doesn't matter how convincing their dog-and-pony public statements are -- it's all for show. If you think phone calls and letters will bring you justice, then have at it.
