Sounds like a great idea. If it had that pick and pluck foam that would really be nice because you could custom fit the foam for the detector.

I bought a canvas snowboard bag. It's OK for carrying the stuff in, but it doesn't really offer any protection to speak of. It's certainly nothing I would feel safe in checking as baggage for an airplane flight.

Of course I'm not real fond of flying anyway. I don't drink, so throwing back a couple of shots to calm the nerves is not an option. So I just sit there white knuckled the whole time.

And it's not the flying that bothers me, it's the feeling that I'm not in control. I took flying lessons and I loved it. Did the stalls and all that stuff, it was a hoot. But I don't like the feeling of knowing that someone else is at the controls.

Thanks for the idea about the case and for giving me a chance to talk about one of my phobias; I feel much better now.

Let's be careful out there.
