hoss has found a few meteorites with the SD2200D, and other detectors have been used. Sometimes they can be deep just as nuggets are and will give a faint signal. There are stony meteorites that we won't be able to detect. And there are some with various amounts of metallic content up to the nickel/iron which can be picked up with a magnet. I'll do as many tests as I can and post the results. Hopefully I'll be able to find one in the field afterwards.
