SD2200 wouldn't ground balance on chan.2 ??????

I went out to Quartzsite yesterday and I was having problems trying to ground balance the machine on channel 2. I tried everything I could think of and just couldn't get it to balance , I have hunted this area and never had a problem before . I went and put the double d coil on and then it was ok on both, but not with the mono loop. Could this have been an effect from the weather that we were having ? Any suggestions...... Mike
