MIKE: The Mac has included foreign and other symbols for years now. All you do is press and hold the "Shift" and "Option" keys and type whatever symbol you want. You can also get additional symbols by pressing and holdind the "Option" key. For example, with the OPTION key pressed, I will type a few symbols: `` ™ £ ¢ * § ¶ • ª * œ * ´® Ý ¥ ¨ ø * " ‘ « å ß * ƒ © * ¬ … æ * = ç * * ˜µ * *

Then, with OPTION and SHIFT pressed: ` °  — ± Œ ´ ¨ Ø * " ’ » Å  Æ Ç * ¿

You will notice that some programs (including the ones used by TreasureNet) can't translate some of the symbols; but at least you can use a great number. The ones that are not translated show as a box (Î).
