Hoss, thank you very much for your comments about the soil conditions in Georgia and North Carolina. I knew the dirt here was hard to detect but with everyone wanting to talk about how bad they had it in Arizona and California and elsewhere, I really had nothing to compare it to. I have seen Gold Bug 2's and Minelab 17000's unable to operate here. Thats only in some places. I know a guy who uses his GB2 to detect an area. When he has covered the ground he gets a scraper and removes 2 more inches of soil and does it all over again. I dont think hes ever found anything more than a few inches down because of the soil conditions. Again think you very much. Maybe when I finally get the money to buy a SD2200d, you can come and show me how to use it? Billy
