Hello James, Since there is running water near by i am considering setting up a highbanker and run material from different spots through it. (It has the ribbed mat up at the top end for sampling the fine stuff) And maybe for going towards bedrock i was thinking of pumping water up from the stream and sucking it out with a dredge at one end or the other of the gravel bar. I can drive right to the area so packing in equipment won't be a problem!

I have spent several separate days on this claim without seeing another human being. When some one does come along it's either their first or second time there so i can't seem to get a report.

There is shallow bedrock up on the banks that have crevices all through it and has produced some rather course pickers.

I'll be watching for the grassy clumps also the other clues you mentioned. Thanks for the input! Robert
