The Timberwolf's "head" pressure is ridiculous, but I found that physically bending them outwards was quite OK, they didn't snap. Once you get them right, they are excellent phones to use and I recommend them to anyone doing serious detecting work.

When it heats up here in Oz I intend to get a little extension speaker to mount on my shoulder next to my best ear. With the Koss EQ30 amp at full blast, the speaker should give ample volume to hear the weak signals and oh what a joy it is to not use headphones at all in hot weather.
